April 12, 2011 - Wildtree

On April 12, 2011 Mayor Avedisian and the Department of Tourism, Culture & Development toured the Wildtree Manufacturing Plant as part of the One-on-One outreach program. Mayor Avedisian had the pleasure of meeting Leslie Montie founder and creator of Wildtree and her parents Frank and Judy who also help run and operate the company.
Wildtree is located at 555 Jefferson Blvd in a 75,000 sq ft facility in Warwick and employees over 50 people. Wildtree is a family owned business that started in 1996.
Leslie Montie started the business after discovering that her two young children had medical conditions requiring special dietary restrictions, she began her search for healthy alternatives. Leslie sought the help of her parents, Frank and Judy and soon Leslie and her mom began selling their specialty blends at local cooking fairs and at home parties. That was the beginning of Wildtree as we know it today!

Wildtree does not use any preservatives, additives, MSG or dyes. Wildtree was founded on the premise that food should be natural, nutritious, delicious and easy to prepare. For more information on Wildtree please visit their website at http://www.wildtreeherbs.com.
