November 24, 2008 - Washington Trust

Washington Trust was the next stop on the Mayor’s One on One tour and is the first bank he has visited since the inception of the program. Mayor Avedisian was given a behind the scene tour on how the bank operates, is managed and why the company chose that specific location, as well as a brief history on the corporation itself. Located at 236 Centerville Road, Washington Trust was founded in 1800, is the oldest community bank in the Nation and offers a variety of services such as personal banking, mortgage banking, business banking, wealth management, trust services and much more. Mayor Avedisian was pleased to know that Washington Trust will soon be opening a second location in the city on Warwick Avenue in Hoxie and viewed the design, layout and model of the building. In attendance for the tour were Charlene Davenport, Joe Confessore, Jack Treanor, Michael Rauh, Russell Hahn and Vanessa Zampini.
