Pontiac Mills

Mayor Avedisian and the Department of Tourism, Culture and Development had the pleasure of touring Pontiac Mills with realtor Bruce Thunberg as part of Warwick's December One on One.

Pontiac Mill has long been a landmark in Warwick; originally home to "Fruit of the Loom" and situated along the beautiful Pawtuxet River. The Bell Tower located in Building One, believed to have been rung by Abraham Lincoln, is still in place and operational. Although times have changed since the mill's creation in the late 1800's it is still preserved as a legacy in Warwick.

As part of our recent visit, Mayor Avedisian had the opportunity to climb the stairwell on site, and make another historic moment by ringing the bell at the top of the tower!

Pontiac Mill has seen a lot of change in the past few years, most recently with the addition of the eclectic NYLO hotel and transformational development at the Warwick Mall.

With zoning classifications and pre-approved phased development in place, the potential this property offers is invaluable and the mill owners look forward to receiving serious proposals. The mill is currently for sale by Landmark Realty.
