In July of 1998, the Claflin Company moved its warehouse from East Providence to Warwicks Airport Business Center, 455 Warwick Industrial Drive, and consolidated its headquarters there in 2001, consuming over 175,000 sq. ft of space in Warwick's designated Foreign Trade Zone. Considered a pioneer in the adaptation of now widely accepted Just-in-Time (JIT) inventory techniques to the acute care marketplace, Claflin considers its leadership in Stockless Material Management a core competence and sustainable competitive advantage. Today the concept of stockless materials management is practiced in over 600 of the nations hospitals and represents about 60% of Claflin's sales.
