Artic Tool and Engineering Co. LLC, located at 41 Ford Lane was happy to host Mayor Avedisian and the Department of Tourism, Culture and Development for the first One-on-One stop in 2010.
Artic Tool & Engineering Co. (ATEC) was founded in 1971 by Manuel & Ann Marie Sousa. With over 30 years of experience Artic Tool & Engineering Co. LLC has grown into a highly respected "World Class" manufacturer of the following: Stampings, C.N.C Machining, C.N.C. Turning, Assemblies and Inspection Services.
In July of 2009, Artic Tool & Engineering Co. was acquired by The Carlyle Johnson Machine Co., LLC of Bolton, Connecticut. With the acquisition, the employee base at Artic Tool doubled – with hopes of adding even more employees in the near future. Carlyle Johnson has been in business for over 100 years as a supplier of specialized clutches and brakes to numerous industries. While touring the facility Mayor Avedisian met with Michael Gamache, President, Ken Carr and John Sousa. Mayor Avedisian was happy to meet and learn about this great family business.
